Kohinoor Converters

Right near Hotel Archana, at 254 Shukrawar Peth, you’ll find us working away in our shop. If you know Pune, you know that the lanes in this area are really narrow and there’s always something going on right outside the door. Kohinoor Converters has been in this exact spot for a while now. We work with paper and different materials, converting them into whatever sizes our customers happen to need that day. The machines we use are pretty loud and they take up almost all the space we have. It’s usually quite dusty from all the cutting and trimming, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; we mostly just sit near the entrance where it's a bit cooler and easier to talk. Sometimes people get lost looking for us because the signs in Shukrawar Peth are all stacked on top of each other, but once you spot Hotel Archana, we are just a few steps away. We deal with a lot of local businesses who need specific types of paper processed. It’s hard work and the days are often long, especially when we have a big order to finish before the weekend. We don't use much fancy technology, just an old ledger and some basic computers to keep track of things. It’s a family-run kind of place where everyone knows what to do and just gets on with it.
