Klt Automotive & Tubular Products is located over in Chinchwad. To find us, you go to the 9th 'A' Main, then the 1st Cross in the 1st Stage, at number 415. It's a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here. We make and handle a lot of tubular products and automotive parts. Basically, lots of metal pipes and components that go into vehicles. The floor is concrete and there are stacks of tubes everywhere you look. It’s a loud place because of the cutting and the handling of the steel. We have a crew that works on the machines, and the sound of metal hitting metal is just part of the background here. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us have grease on our clothes and hands by mid-morning. The 1st Stage area of Chinchwad is very industrial, so we fit right in with the other workshops and units. We have a small area for loading the trucks that come in to pick up the orders. Sometimes the weather makes the metal hot to touch, so we have to be careful. It’s a busy life, always trying to keep up with the schedule. We just focus on the work at hand and making sure the tubes are the right size. It’s simple, honest work in a part of town that never really sleeps. We just keep the machines running and the pipes moving.
