Kishor Light House

You can find us at 224 Shukrawar Peth in A M Lane. This is a very old part of town and the lanes are narrow. It gets very busy here especially during the festivals. Our shop is full of lights of all kinds hanging from the ceiling and sitting on the shelves. It can look a bit messy with all the wires and bulbs but we know where everything is. We have been in Shukrawar Peth for a long time now. The morning starts with us opening the shutters and dusting off the displays. There is always a lot of dust because of the traffic and the old buildings. People come in looking for all sorts of things like simple bulbs or fancy stuff for their homes. We don't have a computer system that tracks everything perfectly so we mostly rely on what we see on the shelves. It is a loud area with vendors shouting and bikes squeezing through the lane. Sometimes we sit on the small stools outside and talk to the other shopkeepers. Everyone knows everyone else around here. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get a big delivery and have to find space for the boxes. We stay open until late because that is when people usually come out to shop for lights. It is tiring but we like being part of this market. There is a lot of history in these walls.
