We’ve been working out of our office in the Camp area for quite a long time now. It’s a well-known part of town, and we like being right in the middle of all the activity. The building we’re in is older, with high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of light, which is great for drafting. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know each other’s habits and how we like things done. Our work is mostly focused on the local community. People come to us when they want to fix up an old property or build something new that fits in with the existing neighborhood. We aren't trying to do anything revolutionary. We just want to make sure the walls are straight and the roof doesn’t leak. There’s always a lot of paper around—contracts, sketches, permits. It can be a bit overwhelming for some people, but we know where everything is. We don’t use much fancy terminology. We just tell you what’s possible and what’s going to cost too much money. Most people appreciate that honesty. Camp is a busy place, so parking can be a bit of a struggle sometimes, but once you’re inside, it’s a nice quiet place to talk about your plans. We’re usually here Monday through Saturday, unless we’re out at a site.
