We are located at 5/4 Chandan Nagar, right on the Pune-Nagar Road. People around here might still remember us as Voltas Material Handling, but we have been Kion India for some time now. Our day-to-day involves a lot of heavy lifting, literally, since we work with forklifts and warehouse equipment. The yard is usually full of machines waiting to be serviced or sent out to customers. It is a noisy place sometimes with all the metal and the engines, but that is just how it is when you are dealing with material handling. We have a team here that knows these machines inside out. Some of the guys have been with the company since the Voltas days. We do not do anything fancy with the office; it is mostly just a place to manage the orders and keep track of the fleet. Being on the main road helps with getting the big trucks in and out without too much trouble, though the traffic can be a real pain in the neck during rush hour. We just focus on keeping the equipment running for the people who use it. There is always someone in the workshop or out on a site visit. It is straightforward work. We do not spend much time on talk, just making sure the trucks and lifts are ready to go. If you are driving down from Pune towards Nagar, you will see our gates. We have been a part of this industrial stretch for a long time.
