Khamkar Constuctions Pvt. Ltd. has its main spot at B/27 in Prathamesh Nagari. We are tucked away in Anand Nagar right off Sinhgad Road in Pune. It is a lively neighborhood and we have been part of it for quite some time now. Our office is basically a room filled with cabinets, old site photos, and a very busy desk. We do a lot of construction work around the city, but Sinhgad Road is our home base. It can get pretty noisy with the traffic outside, but inside we are usually just focused on the next set of drawings or sorting out the payroll for the crew. My brother and I handle most of the day-to-day things. We don't use big fancy words to describe what we do. We just build structures and try to make sure the materials are good. Sometimes the rain in Pune makes the sites a mess, and those are the days we spend more time in the office drinking chai and waiting for the sun to come out again. It is a practical business. We deal with suppliers, talk to the municipal people, and visit the sites to check on the progress. It is not always easy and there are plenty of delays you can’t control, but we just keep at it. Most of our work comes from people just knowing our name in the locality. We just try to finish what we started every day.
