Om Plastic Moulding

Om Plastic Moulding is based out of Kolhewadi on Khadawasta R.S Singhgad Road. The shop is basically a large shed where the molding machines are kept. It stays pretty warm inside because of the heat the machines put out while they are melting the plastic. There is always a bit of a smell of warm plastic in the air, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We have piles of raw material bags stacked up against the back wall. The floor is concrete and usually has a few stray plastic bits scattered around. We spend our days watching the machines and making sure the molds are filling up correctly. It’s repetitive work, but it needs someone to keep an eye on it. The traffic on Singhgad Road is always moving, so we get a lot of dust blowing in through the open doors. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk right into the work area and find one of us. We keep our tools on a big pegboard where half the outlines are missing. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the cooling fans. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders finished on time. It is a tough job, but it is what we do. We usually finish up when the sun starts to go down.
