Our place is in Pune, right in Ward No. 3 of Jaibhim Nagar. It is a very busy part of the city, and things are always moving around here. Dealing with petroleum means there is a lot of logistics involved every single day. We have trucks coming in and paperwork that seems to never end. The office is pretty basic, just some metal desks and computers where we keep track of the deliveries and stock. Maharashtra gets quite warm in the summer, so we are usually glad for the ceiling fans while we are looking over the schedules. It is not the kind of job where you sit still for very long. Someone is always calling about a delivery or checking on a fuel level. We have been in this spot for a bit, so the local tea seller knows exactly when to bring our afternoon round. Sometimes the traffic in Pune makes everything run late, which can be frustrating for everyone, but we just deal with it. It is a practical business. We do not spend much time on decorations or making the office look pretty. We just focus on getting the fuel where it needs to go. The staff here are mostly local people who have been with us for a while. We know each other’s families and what is going on in the neighborhood. It is a regular job for regular people, and we try to keep things running.
