Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd.

Our office is in Flat No. B-22 at Maitrya Baug, which is on Paud Road in the Kothrud area of Pune. Being in a residential complex means we have to be a bit mindful of our neighbors, especially when we are moving heavy cans of Nerolac around the corridors. Kothrud is a busy part of the city, and the traffic on Paud Road is something we deal with every single day. The flat is basically a workspace now, with the living room area taken up by desks, filing cabinets, and stacks of color cards. We have a small balcony where we sometimes keep the empty containers or just go for a breath of fresh air. The kitchen area is mostly used for making tea and coffee for the staff and the few visitors we get. It’s a very practical, lived-in space with some scratches on the doors and a few mismatched chairs. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, coordinating deliveries across Pune and making sure we have enough stock for the upcoming week. It’s not the kind of place with a big sign outside, but people know where we are. We just keep things running as smoothly as we can, focusing on the day-to-day tasks of managing a paint business from a fourth-floor apartment in a quiet housing society.
