Kamat Social Foundation

Kamat Social Foundation is located in the Bavdhan area of Pune. Our office is actually Flat No. 103 in the Usshkaal Apartments. The full address is S No. 51/2/A (Part) near LMD Chowk. If you know that part of Pune, you know it can get pretty busy with traffic around the chowk, but our building is just far enough away that we can actually hear ourselves think. We are in the 411021 zip code. We decided to use an apartment for our foundation because it keeps costs down and feels a lot more personal. We do not have any big marketing budgets or a staff of hundreds. It is usually just a few of us managing the day-to-day operations from our desks in the living room area. The space is a bit tight when we have visitors, but we always manage to find an extra chair somewhere. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. Being in Bavdhan is convenient for us since we live nearby and do not have to spend hours commuting. We have lived in Pune for a long time, so we know the city well. We are not trying to be a huge corporate entity. We are just a group of people working out of Flat 103, trying to stay organized and do what is expected of us. It is not a glamorous setup, but it is functional and honest, which is how we like to run things.
