Kakade Shiksha Foundation

Kakade Shiksha Foundation is based in Pune, over on Shirote Road. Our address is 1205/1-1B, which is in an older part of the city. The building has been there for a long time, and so have we. The office is quite simple. We have a lot of books and old wooden desks. It’s not a modern, high-tech space. It feels more like a study room than a corporate foundation office. We focus on education, helping students and families who need some extra support. Most of our days are spent talking to parents who come in with questions about their children's schooling. We don't have a big staff or a lot of resources, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes the office is a bit cluttered with papers and textbooks. Shirote Road is a busy place, and there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve grown to like the noise. We don't have any promotional brochures or a fancy reception desk. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and pull up a chair. We help where we can in a very straightforward way. It’s just a small group of us trying to make a difference in our corner of Pune. We aren't looking for attention; we just want to get the work done. The work is mostly about practical things like school supplies and local tutoring.
