Our place is tucked away at 25, Narayan Peth in Pune. If you have ever walked through these old lanes, you know how it feels. It’s different from the new parts of the city with the malls. We like it here because it feels like the real Pune. The building is older and has that specific smell of dust and paper. We share the space and keep things moving. Most mornings start with a quick chat about the traffic near Lakdi Pul. It’s a small team, really just a few of us making sure everything is in order. We don't have a big reception area with a fountain or anything like that. Just some sturdy chairs and a desk that has seen better days. The Maharashtra sun gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the curtains drawn. It is a quiet street mostly, except when there is a festival or a procession passing by. Then everything stops and we just watch from the door. We have been in this spot for some time now and the neighbors know us. It is comfortable. We don't spend much on decorating because we are usually too busy with the files. It's a practical way to run things. We handle the paperwork and the phone calls without making a big fuss about it. Just regular people working a regular job in a historic part of town. We take our time and do it right.
