K P Ceramic

K P Ceramic is our little shop located in Sadashiv Peth, over at the 1st stage near Phadtare Chowk. If you’ve spent any time in this part of the city, you know the streets are narrow and always full of people. We’ve got our space at Survey No 768/1 where we keep our ceramic items and bathroom fittings. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so many different designs and sizes piled up, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our mornings unloading crates and checking for any chips or cracks. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning or fancy lighting. We just have the doors open to the street and talk to anyone who walks in. A lot of our customers are locals who are doing a small renovation or just need a single replacement piece. We don't use any fancy computer programs to track things, we mostly just remember what’s in the back. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy when we’re busy, but that’s just part of the job. We’ve been at Phadtare Chowk for a good while and we’ve gotten to know the families around here. It’s a simple life running a ceramic shop, and we’re happy to just keep doing what we’re doing without any big corporate overhead or unnecessary polish. We know that picking out tiles can be stressful for some people, so we just let them take their time looking around. There’s no pressure from us.
