We’ve been at 308 Somwar Peth in the Sunder Nagari Co.Op.Hsg.Soc. for quite a while now. It’s an older part of the city, and the office isn’t exactly a showroom, but it works for what we do. Most of our morning is spent on the phone with customs agents or checking on shipping manifests. The paperwork for import and export can be a real mountain sometimes. We’ve got stacks of files on every available surface, and it’s a constant battle to keep them organized. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a breather to talk about the local news. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any corporate slogans on the wall. It’s just us, some desks, and a lot of computers that have seen better days. Dealing with shipments means things can go wrong at any hour, so someone is usually here late. We know the local porters and the drivers who navigate these narrow streets. It’s a lot of back and forth, making sure goods get from point A to point B without too much trouble. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make sure our clients get their stuff on time. It’s practical, sometimes boring work, but it’s what we know. We take things one day at a time and try to keep the business moving forward as best as we can.
