Jr.Programmer

You can find us over at Anant App, which is Flat No-3 right near Deepbanglow Chowk in Gokhalenagar. Vinod Mahale is the one who really keeps things running around here. Pune is a great city for this kind of work, especially in a neighborhood like ours. As a Jr.Programmer, the day is mostly spent staring at code and trying to figure out why things aren't compiling right. It is a small space, so we all know what everyone else is working on. The chai shop down the street is where we spend most of our breaks. It gets a bit noisy near the chowk with all the traffic, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a big HR department or fancy break rooms. We just have our desks and some decent internet. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where we do all our programming work. We’ve been in this flat for a while and the walls are covered in notes and old calendars. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. Being in Pune means there are always other tech people around, but we mostly stick to our small circle. We don't really do big meetings. We just talk across the room when something needs fixing. It’s a very casual way to work and it suits us just fine for now.
