John Deere Tecnology, Pune

We are located over in Magarpatta, which is a busy part of Pune. It’s full of IT parks and people rushing around with laptop bags. Our place, John Deere Technology, is right in the middle of all that. We spend most of our time looking at screens and trying to figure out how to make the technology for the tractors and machines work better. It sounds more exciting than it is some days. Mostly it’s just a lot of typing and meetings that go on a bit too long. The office is okay, but the air conditioning is usually too cold or not working at all. We have a small pantry where we spend a lot of time drinking coffee and talking about the traffic on the way in. Pune is a nice city, but getting to Magarpatta in the morning is a real struggle for most of us. We aren't some flashy startup; we’re just part of a big system trying to get the tech right. Sometimes things break and we have to stay late to fix them. There’s no big secret to what we do. It’s just steady work and trying to keep the systems running. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and notes pinned up. It’s a workplace like any other. Everyone knows that getting through the day requires a bit of patience. We just aim to finish our tasks and hope the commute back home isn't too exhausting after a long day at the desk.
