We are based at J 144 in the MIDC area of Bhosari. It’s a proper industrial zone, so it’s all about metal, machines, and grease around here. Our workshop isn't the cleanest place because that’s just the nature of engineering work. There’s always a lathe running or someone welding something in the corner. We wear heavy boots and work clothes that have seen better days. It gets pretty loud during the day, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard over the machinery. We deal with a lot of technical drawings that get oil stains on them from being on the workbench. It’s not like those high-tech labs you see on TV; it’s a grit-and-grind kind of place. We’ve got a small area where we keep the finished parts before they get sent out. Sometimes the deadlines are tight and we’re working under the bright shop lights until late at night. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only real breaks. Bhosari is full of shops like ours, and we’re just one of many units trying to get the parts out on time. We don’t have a big corporate mission or anything. We just fix things and build things as they’re needed. It’s honest, heavy work that leaves you tired at the end of the day, but it’s good to see something finished and ready.
