If you head down Range Hills Nala Road 15/9 D 1, you will find Jay Auto Parts right there by the side of the road. It is a dusty kind of place, which I guess is expected when you are dealing with car and bike parts all day long. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling and they are packed with boxes of spark plugs, brake pads, and metal gears. I know where almost everything is, even if it looks like a bit of a mess to someone else. The road outside can be a bit rough, and when the big trucks go by, the whole shop vibrates just a little. I usually have grease on my hands by noon because I am always opening boxes or checking a part for a customer. The air smells like oil and old cardboard, which is just the way an auto shop should be. There is a small bench out front where I sit sometimes when it is quiet, watching the traffic go toward the nala. I don't use a computer for much; I prefer writing things down in my ledger with a blue pen. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for me. Range Hills is a busy spot, and there is always someone looking for a specific bolt or a gasket that nobody else seems to have in stock. We just keep the doors open and stay busy with whatever comes our way.
