Jansuvidha Social Foundation

We are located in Kothrud, specifically in Jay Bhawani Nagar. If you know where the Saibaba Mandir is, then you are pretty close to our office. We are in a chawl area, which is SN120 to be exact. It is not some big glass building you see in the IT parks. It is just a regular spot in a busy neighborhood. Pune is a big city but here in Kothrud things feel a bit more local. Our space at Jansuvidha Social Foundation is simple. We have some basic furniture and a few people who are usually busy with something or the other. Sometimes the street gets really crowded and it can be hard to find parking. Most of our neighbors are just regular folks going about their day. We don't have a big sign out front that glows in the dark. It is just a place where we do our work. Some days are quiet but mostly there is some noise from the temple or the traffic. We started this because there were things in the community that needed someone to look at them. It is not fancy work. It is just day-to-day stuff that needs doing. We don't really have a big team or anything. It is just a few of us. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the paperwork. That is basically what we are about. It’s not perfect, and we make mistakes, but we just keep trying to do what’s right for the people around here.
