Jaishriram Goraksha Foundation

Our office is over at Osmanpura in Aurangabad, specifically in House Number 5-6-49 at the F-2 unit. It is located near Plot No 116/117. We have been focused on the work here at Jaishriram Goraksha Foundation for some time now. Dealing with cattle welfare and the foundation’s activities takes up most of our hours. It is a quiet enough spot in Aurangabad, though the street gets crowded during the market hours. We are not a big organization with a lot of funding; mostly it is just local people from the neighborhood helping out. The room we work out of is pretty small, filled with files and some old furniture. We started this because there was a real need in the community for cow protection that was not being met. Sometimes it feels like we are barely keeping up with the paperwork, but we manage. People come by to talk about the animals or ask for help with local issues. My cousin helps me with the accounts, though he is not here every day. We do not really do ads or anything. Most people find out about us just by walking past the Osmanpura office or through word of mouth. It is tough work, and the weather here can be quite hot in the summer, making the office a bit stuffy. We just keep going because the work is important to us. It is not about being famous, just doing the daily tasks that need doing in 431001.
