Jain Opportunity Foundation

Our foundation is located on the 1st floor of the Vardhaman Building, in the A Wing. We are in Mahatma Phule Peth, right near Shankar S in Pune. It’s a very old and incredibly busy part of the city. The streets are narrow and full of people and small shops, so there’s a lot of noise and energy right outside our door. Inside our office, it’s a bit quieter, but we’re usually pretty busy with mountains of paperwork and local meetings. We set up Jain Opportunity Foundation to help people find better paths for themselves, whether that’s through local education or finding a decent job. We aren't a big, flashy organization with a fancy lobby. The office is just a few simple rooms with some basic furniture and plenty of files stacked on the floor. We spend a lot of time talking to young people and families who come in looking for a bit of guidance and a way forward. We don't have any corporate slogans or polished speeches for the public. We just listen to what people actually need and see if we can help them find a real opportunity. Sometimes it’s a long, slow process, but we try to stick with it until things get better. Being in Phule Peth means we see people from all walks of life every single day. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors in the building all know us by now. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We’re just trying to be a help.
