J N Industries is based over at S. No. 32 in Lonkar Nagar. It’s in the Keshav Nagar part of Mundhwa, which has changed a lot since we first got here. We do industrial work, mostly stuff that people don't think about until they need it fixed. The shop is a bit cluttered with scrap metal and tools, but we know where everything is. Usually, you’ll find us out on the floor rather than in the little office nook. Mundhwa is a busy area, and the roads can be a bit rough, but it’s home for us. We started this business because we wanted to work for ourselves. It’s not always easy, especially when the bills come due or a machine breaks down on a Friday evening. No fancy website or big sign is out front. Mostly, we just rely on people in the neighborhood knowing what we do. The air in the shop always smells a bit like oil and cold metal. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in Pune. It’s a decent life. We don't make any big claims about being the biggest or anything like that. We just do the work that comes in and hope the customer is happy enough to come back next time. That's how we’ve kept the doors open all these years.
