Ishtha Foundation For Humanity And Sustainability

We are over here at Mithila Residency in Baner, tucked into Row House number three. It’s a quiet spot in Pune, really. Most days involve sitting around the table trying to figure out how to handle sustainability things and help people out where we can. We started Ishtha Foundation because we saw a lot of waste and people struggling, so we figured we should do something about it. It’s not a big fancy office, just a regular house where we keep our files and meet up for coffee. Sometimes the neighbors pop by to say hello, and we end up talking about the weather or local traffic issues. We try to keep things practical. We don't have a huge team, just a few of us who care about the environment and the folks living around here. If you’re ever walking near Baner, you might see our small sign out front. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the field, so the office is often quiet during the day. We’ve been at this for a bit now, learning as we go and always trying to improve. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it. We mostly focus on long-term stuff, making sure things actually last instead of being a quick fix. It’s not always easy to explain what sustainability looks like in daily life, but we try to show it through what we do. We're just regular people trying to make the neighborhood a bit better.
