Irrigation &Power Dept.Govt. Of Maharastra

The Irrigation and Power Department for the Maharashtra government has an office here in Pune. We are located at 19, Vaishali Apartment, inside Someshwar Park. It’s right on Baner Road in the Aundh area. Being in an apartment building makes it feel a bit more local and less like a massive government headquarters. We’ve got a small team working here, focusing on power and water issues for the region. The Someshwarwadi area is actually quite nice, though Baner Road gets really jammed with traffic during the rush hours. Our office is simple. We have old filing cabinets and wooden desks that have been around for a long time. There’s always a stack of files that needs someone’s signature. We don't have a receptionist, so you usually just walk in and find whoever you’re looking for. Most of the people who come here are either staff or contractors dealing with utility projects. It’s a lot of technical talk and checking figures. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp during the long afternoons. Pune weather is usually okay, but the office can get a bit stuffy. We aren't here to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just do the work that the department requires. It’s a practical setup for the job we have to do every day. There is no need for anything more than what we have.
