Shukrawar Peth is one of the older parts of Pune, and it feels like it. We are located at Bharat Bhavan, right in Natu Baug. The area is very congested with narrow lanes and lots of old buildings. Our shop has been around for a long time. It’s filled with electrical components from floor to ceiling. You can find almost anything if you look hard enough in the back shelves. It’s often dark inside because of the way the building is constructed, so we have to keep the lights on all day. Customers come in with old motors or wires and ask for replacements. We spend a lot of time identifying old parts that aren't made anymore. There is a lot of noise from the street outside—scooters, vendors, and people talking. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a counter and lots of inventory piled up. The wooden floorboards in some parts of the shop creak when you walk on them. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things are slow. Most of our regulars are local electricians who have been buying from us for decades. We know their families and how they like their tea. It's a very local way of doing business. We don't need a lot of modern flash to do what we do.
