Inclusive Recycling Foundation

Inclusive Recycling Foundation operates out of Kalpataru Regency in Kalyaninagar. We are located in flat C-601 on survey number 208. It might seem a bit odd to have a recycling foundation in an apartment building, but it is where we started and it works for us. We spend a lot of time thinking about trash and how to handle it better in our local area. It’s not a glamorous job, and honestly, our living room is often full of samples or educational materials. We work with local collectors and residents to try and make the system a bit smoother. It is a lot of trial and error. Some days we feel like we are making progress, and other days it feels like the piles of waste are just getting bigger. We don't have a big fancy truck or a warehouse yet, so we do what we can with the space we have. Most of our neighbors know what we are up to and they sometimes drop off things or ask questions about where their plastic goes. We try to keep things simple and honest. We aren't experts with all the answers; we are just people who got tired of seeing stuff wasted. It takes a lot of patience to change how people think about their rubbish. We just keep at it, one flat and one building at a time, right here in Kalyaninagar.
