Idris Enterprises

Kasarwadi is where we set up Idris Enterprises. It’s a bit of an industrial patch, and our place fits right in. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. Most people find us because they know the area or someone told them where we are. The workspace is a bit of a mix between an office and a small warehouse. There’s always stuff stacked near the entrance, and you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate. We start the day early, usually around eight, because the heat gets a bit much by noon. It’s a lot of paperwork and checking things twice. We don't use any high-tech systems for our tracking; it’s mostly just notebooks and a few simple spreadsheets. The local tea seller knows our order by heart, which is nice. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit outside on the stoop until it comes back on. It gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to get through the day’s orders without too many mistakes. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except when the deliveries arrive. Then it’s all hands on deck to move things around. We’ve been in Kasarwadi for years and don’t plan on moving.
