Ichage Foundation

If you ever find yourself over by the Nawale Bridge, you’ve probably seen the Dangat Patil Empire building. That is where we are, up on the fourth floor in room 401. It’s the Ichage Foundation. It’s a busy spot around here with all the traffic coming off the bridge, so it can get pretty noisy if we leave the windows open. We started this place because we saw a lot of things that needed fixing in the community. We don’t have a massive staff, just a few of us who show up every morning and stay until the work is done. The office is okay, it has enough space for our files and a few chairs for visitors. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits; we usually just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs which is good exercise I guess. We try to keep things simple and not get bogged down in too much paperwork, though it’s hard sometimes. Every day is a bit different. One day we might be helping someone with their papers and the next we are out meeting people in the nearby societies. It is just how things go for us. We just want to be useful to the people living nearby.
