Hirschvogel Components India Pvt. Ltd. is located in Block No. E84 at the MIDC in Ranjangaon. It is a bit of a drive out here in the Taluka of Shirur, but this is where all the big manufacturing happens. The facility is quite large, and there is a lot of metal being moved around at any given time. We make various components, mostly for the automotive sector. The floor is filled with massive forging presses and CNC machines that run through several shifts. It’s a very noisy environment, and everyone has to follow the safety rules strictly. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the parts coming off the line. If one measurement is off, it can mess up the whole batch. The commute out to Ranjangaon can be long for some of us, but we have gotten used to the routine. We have a canteen where we all sit together for lunch and talk about things other than work for a bit. The office area is separated from the factory floor by thick walls, but you can still feel the vibration of the heavy machinery through the floor. It isn't a glamorous job, but these parts are needed for vehicles all over the country. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the machines running smoothly. It is a busy place with a lot of moving parts.
