Our place is in Khadki, over at Shanta Niketan Society on Bhau Patil Road. We’ve got the A-11 spot. It’s a decent area in Pune, and it’s where we do all our planning and phone calls. The office is usually cluttered with samples of tiles, different grades of sand, and rolls of drawings. We aren't a corporate giant with a thousand employees. We’re just a small group of people who know how to put buildings together. My brother and I started this a while back. We spend most of our time out at sites, checking on the pouring of concrete or making sure the plumbing is going in right. Pune has grown so much lately, and we try to keep up with the demand for new rooms or small commercial spaces. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the work is sturdy and the client isn't left waiting. Sometimes the monsoons slow us down, and we have to spend more time in the office catching up on paperwork. We eat our lunch right here at the desk most days. It’s a practical life. We know the local shops for our supplies, and they know us. If you need a hand with a project, you just come by A-11 and we can talk it over. No pressure, just a straightforward conversation about what needs doing on your land.
