Our office for Hdfc Standard Life is tucked away in the Shri Swaminarayan Apts in Rasta Peth. You have to come up to the third floor to find us at Flat 6. Most people use Hotel Karishma as a landmark because it is right nearby and easy to spot from the main road. Being in an apartment building makes it feel a bit different than a big corporate glass building. It is quiet up here on the 3rd floor compared to the noise down on the street. We handle a lot of different insurance tasks throughout the day. People usually come by when they have a question about their papers or need to update something in their file. We have a small team here in Pune and we just go through the daily routine of checking documents and answering the phone. The office is a bit cramped sometimes when we have a few visitors at once, but we make it work. It feels very local and part of the community. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow so some people just take the stairs. We spend our time looking at policy details and making sure everything is in order. It is a very practical place. No one wears fancy suits unless there is a big meeting. We just dress for the weather and get the work done as it comes in.
