Working out here at Exports No. 212/2 in Hadapsar is a busy experience every single day. The Serum Institute of India Limited is a big place and there is always something going on near the gates. We see trucks moving in and out at all hours of the day and night. It gets pretty dusty around the yard when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is in this part of Pune. Most of us spend our time at desks or walking between the different buildings to get the paperwork sorted. It is not the kind of job where you sit still for long. The sun hits the main office building hard in the afternoon, making everyone grateful for the fans. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going through the long shifts. It is a practical environment where the focus is just on getting things packed and sent off to wherever they are supposed to go. You can hear the hum of the city from the perimeter fence, but once you are inside the gate, it feels like its own little world. We have been at this location for a long time now. Most of the people working here live in the nearby colonies and have been part of the staff for years. It is a solid place to be, and we just keep our heads down and do the daily tasks that need doing.
