Jay Hanuman Plywood Hardware

We set up shop at numbers 11 and 12 in Satav Heights, right on the Pune-Saswad Road in Hadapsar. Being on the main road means it’s always dusty and loud, but that’s just part of the job when you’re selling hardware and plywood. The shop smells like fresh cut wood most of the time. We have stacks of boards reaching almost to the ceiling, so you have to be careful when you’re walking through the aisles. It’s not the kind of place where everything is perfectly polished. There’s usually some sawdust on the counters and a few scuffs on the floor from moving heavy crates around. We get a lot of local builders and people doing their own home repairs stopping by. Most of them have been coming to us for a long time. We know their names and what kind of projects they are working on. We spend a lot of time loading trucks out back or helping someone find the right size of screw in a bin. It gets hot in the summer because the sun hits the front of the shop directly, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We don’t have any fancy displays. Everything is just laid out so people can find what they need. It’s a practical business and we like being part of the Hadapsar community. There’s always someone coming in with a question about a renovation.
