Dewansh Grip

Dewansh Grip is over in Jaipur, right at 549 Guruwar Peth. We are sitting directly opposite the Uco Bank, which is a good landmark because the street can get really crowded and confusing for people who aren't from around here. The shop is packed with different types of grips and hardware items. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep as much stock as possible on the shelves. Most of the time, I’m standing behind the counter talking to customers or checking the inventory lists. Jaipur gets very hot in the summer, and the shop doesn't have the best ventilation, so we usually have a big pedestal fan blowing all day. We have been here for a good while and have a lot of regular customers who come in just to see what’s new or to pick up something they forgot last time. It’s a bit dusty, especially with the door open to the street all day, but you get used to it. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are across from the bank. Sometimes we misplace the stapler or the pen, and we have to hunt through stacks of invoices to find them. It’s a typical small-town shop where things are a little bit messy but we know exactly where everything is kept.
