Our spot at H-4/33 in the Hill Side Colony is right in the middle of the Pirojshah Nagar area. If you've ever been down LBS Marg in Vikhroli West, you know how hectic it can get. Inside Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., things are just as busy but in a different way. We’ve got a mix of older staff who have seen it all and new kids who are still learning the ropes. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have those fancy glass walls you see in new office buildings. It's more about sturdy tables and a lot of industrial history. We spend our time managing whatever comes across the desk that day. Sometimes it's a lot of phone calls, other times it's just quiet focus on the technical stuff. The heat can get a bit much during the summer, so the old fans are always going. We don't put on a show for anyone. If you walked in, you'd see people in regular clothes just working through their tasks. We have our tea breaks where we talk about local news or the cricket score. It's a simple life here at the colony. We focus on the work that needs finishing before the sun goes down. It's been this way for a long time, and we don't see that changing anytime soon. We just keep our heads down and do the work required.
