Global Maratha Ranragini Organization

We are based out in Gadhinglaj, specifically at M.N.156A/P in the Kandewadi area. It is a quiet place and that suits us just fine. Our office is just a regular room where we keep our files and meet up to talk. Most of the people involved live nearby, so it’s easy for us to gather when something needs to be discussed. We don’t have any fancy signs or big posters. People in the village know where we are. We have been working in this community for a long time. It’s not about being a big organization with lots of money. It is more about the women here coming together. We deal with whatever problems come up locally. Sometimes it’s small stuff, sometimes it’s a bit more complicated. We just sit around the table and figure it out. The building itself is old but it stays cool in the heat. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few volunteers who give their time. We don't use much technology. A lot of our work is done through face-to-face conversations. That is how things have always been done here. It is a simple life and the work is straightforward. We don't try to make it more than it is. It's just us doing what we can for Gadhinglaj. Some evenings we just stay late talking over tea about what to handle next.
