Abhinav Engineering

Abhinav Engineering is at Plot No. 16 in the Giridarshan Society. We are right near Sakai Nagar on Baner Road. It’s a pretty good spot for us, though the traffic on Baner Road can be a real nightmare during rush hour. We do engineering work, mostly small-scale stuff and specific parts. It’s not a massive factory like you see in the big parks. It’s more of a focused workshop. We have a few lathes and milling machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep them running well though. There’s always the sound of metal being cut or ground down. We aren't a big corporate firm with secretaries and polished floors. It's mostly just us in our work shirts. We’ve been in this society area for a long time. The neighbors know us by the sound of the shop opening up in the morning. We take on jobs that bigger shops won't bother with. Sometimes it’s a custom part for a machine or a fix for something that broke. We don't have a big mission statement. We just look at the drawings and try to make the part fit the specs. If it doesn't work the first time, we just do it again. That’s just the nature of the work. We drink our tea outside when the weather is nice. It’s a small team, so we all know what's going on with every single project. We don't spend money on fancy catalogs. Most of our work comes from people who've been here before.
