Geodis Overseas Pvt.Ltd is set up here in Pune-19, over in Sambhaji Nagar. We’re located in Torna Housing Society, at C/7 R.H. 24. Shri Shanbhag is the one in charge of the place. It’s an interesting spot because it’s a residential society but we’re right near the MIDC industrial area in Chinchwad. This makes sense for us because we deal with a lot of overseas shipping and logistics stuff. We spend our time looking at maps and tracking numbers. The office isn't anything special to look at. It's mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of printed out forms. We handle the paperwork that goes along with moving things across borders. It can be quite a headache with all the rules and regulations. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Some days the phone won't stop ringing and other days it's just us quietly typing away. We don't have any big signs out front. People who need to find us usually know where we are. It’s a practical way to run a business without all the extra overhead of a big city center office. We like being close to the factories in MIDC. It makes the logistics side of things a bit easier to manage when we can just drive over and see what’s going on with a shipment. It’s a steady job and we try to do it right. We aren't trying to be fancy, just effective with the shipments we manage every day.
