Genpact

Our office for Genpact is tucked away near the Mines Rescue Station in Churi, which is out by the Po Dakra area in the Ranchi district of Jharkhand. It is quite a journey to get out here from the main city, and you see a lot of mining activity and heavy machinery along the way. The address is linked to Sn Prasad, or Som as people call him around here, and it feels like a very specific part of the world once you arrive at the gates. The landscape is mostly earth and industrial gear, which makes our daily work feel quite grounded in the reality of the region. We do not have those shiny elevators you see in big city offices; we just walk in and get to our stations. The air gets quite dusty when the trucks go by, but we have grown used to it over the years. Our team is small, and most of us grew up in nearby villages or towns, so we talk a lot about local stuff while we work. Lunch usually involves someone bringing homemade pickles or fresh parathas to share in the small break area. It is not the kind of place that would win any awards for decor, but it is where we spend our days and earn our living. We try to keep things simple and avoid making a big deal out of anything. It is just a workspace near the mines.
