If you go down Shivaji Road and look across from the Ratnagiri Apartments, you’ll find us at number 649 in Shukrawar Peth. It’s an old part of town, very narrow streets and lots of history. We’ve been making rubber products here for quite some time now. The smell of raw rubber is something you never really get used to, but it’s the smell of work for us. Our workshop isn't very large, so we have to be organized with how we stack the sheets and the finished moldings. It’s a bit of a squeeze when a big order comes in. Shukrawar Peth is always crowded, especially during festivals, so getting supplies in and out can be a bit of a challenge. We mostly make small industrial parts, washers, and custom gaskets that people need for their machinery. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to handle social media. Usually, it's just one of us answering the phone while trying to finish a batch. The machines are old but they work well if you treat them right. We know most of the shopkeepers on this block, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoons. It’s a simple operation, really. No fancy bells or whistles, just black rubber and hard work. We try to keep things moving and stay out of the way of the traffic on Shivaji Road.
