In Pune, we are located in Kasaba Peth, which is one of the oldest parts of the city. Our office for Gannon Dunkerley & Co., Ltd is care of U.T. Mahajan at 674 Kasaba Peth. The lanes around here are narrow and filled with history, so it’s not the easiest place to drive a big car through. We’ve been here for quite some time, tucked away in this traditional neighborhood. The office itself is quite simple and doesn't have any of those modern glass partitions you see in the new IT parks. It’s just a solid, old-fashioned workspace. We do our planning and paperwork here, and there’s always a pot of tea going somewhere. Because it’s a residential and commercial mix, there is always something happening outside the window. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It feels more like being part of a big family than just going to a job. We don’t spend money on fancy furniture or flashy signs. We prefer to just keep things practical. Most of the staff has been with us for years, so we have a good rhythm. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, and the stairs are steep, but it’s our home base and it works for us. We just come in, do our bits of work, and head home like everyone else in the Peth. The atmosphere here is just very plain and down to earth.
