Gange Pressing

You can find us at J 439 in the Bhosari Industrial Estate, right on the 8th Cross near 11th Main in Hal 2nd Stage. It is a very busy industrial area, so there is always a background hum of other factories and trucks moving around. Pressing work is naturally loud and heavy, so our shop floor is never a quiet place to be. We are usually in our work gear, which is often stained with oil or metal dust by the time lunch rolls around. The concrete floors have plenty of scratches from moving heavy dies and sheets, but that is expected in this line of work. We do not have a fancy front office or any decorations to speak of. We just have our machines and the space we need to operate them. Sometimes we have to spend a whole day just maintaining the presses to keep them running smooth. It is a straightforward routine that has not changed much in a long time. We know the other guys working in the neighboring shops, so it feels like a real community of workers around here. We take the jobs as they come in and try to stay focused on the tasks at hand. There is no big management team, just a few of us making sure the pressing gets done correctly. It is tough work, but it is what we do to keep things moving.
