Fusion Architects

Our office for Fusion Architects is in Pune, right over in Bavdhan. We’re in the La Valle Casa building, C 104, which is pretty much opposite Banjara Hills near Chandani Chowk. If you’ve driven through that intersection, you know it can get pretty backed up with cars. We spend a lot of time here drawing and talking about space. There are rolls of paper everywhere and a few models sitting on the shelves gathering dust. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and we like the view of the hills when it isn’t too hazy out. It’s a small team. We often eat lunch together at one of the small places nearby. Sometimes we disagree about where a window should go or how a roof should look, but we usually figure it out over some chai. It’s not like those fancy offices you see in magazines. We have mismatched chairs and the printer likes to jam whenever we’re in a hurry to get a drawing done. But it’s where we do our work. We mostly deal with local projects, things that people in Pune need. We don’t put on airs or try to act like we’re some big international firm. We just know how to draw buildings and we like doing it here in Bavdhan where things feel a bit more relaxed than the city center.
