Furniture Studio The

We are located at 2 North Petty Staff Lines, right across from the City Bank on East Street in the Camp area. Most people just call us The Furniture Studio. It’s a busy corner of the city, and we’ve been here for a good number of years. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character, I suppose. We keep all kinds of furniture inside, from chairs to big cabinets. It’s often a bit of a jumble because we keep getting new things in before the old ones go out. We don’t have any polished marketing or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and wait for people to wander in from East Street. Being near the bank means there’s always people walking by. We do our own cleaning and moving. It’s hard work sometimes, especially in the heat, but we like being in Camp. The area has a lot of history and we feel like a small part of it. Our address is fairly easy to find if you are familiar with the Petty Staff Lines area. We don't spend much on fancy lighting or decor inside the shop. We just let the furniture speak for itself. It’s a basic operation run by a couple of us who have lived around here for a long time. You can just stop by and have a look around whenever you are in the neighborhood. We usually have something interesting to see. It’s a quiet life inside even though it’s busy outside.
