Freelancer

I'm based out of flat 47 in Sheetal Park, which is over in Kalyani. For several years now, I've been working as a freelancer. It's a pretty quiet life for the most part. Having no commute is the best thing about it. I just walk from my bedroom to my desk in the corner. Various kinds of work come my way, whatever people need help with at the time. Kalyani is a decent place to be, far enough away from the chaos of Kolkata but still close enough if I need to go in for something. Since my apartment isn't very big, I have to keep things pretty tidy so I can work properly. There's no team here or any fancy equipment. It's just me and my laptop. Sometimes the hours are long when there's a lot to do, and other times I take it easy and go for a walk around the park. It's a bit of a mixed bag, really. Choosing what I work on is a nice perk. I don't have to follow a bunch of corporate rules or attend boring meetings all day. Getting my head down and doing what needs to be done is my main focus. It's a simple way to make a living. There’s no big company name or anything, just me working under my own steam. Staying here and doing things this way has been a good move. The neighbors are nice, and the building is safe.
