We are based out of Pune, specifically on the 6th floor of the Galore Tech building in Bavdhan Khurd. Most of the time, the elevator is busy because it’s a big building, but we manage. Our focus here at the Foundation For Rural Entrepreneurship Development is mainly on helping people in rural areas get their own small businesses going. It isn't always easy work, and some days are slower than others, but we stay at it. Being on Pashan Road means we deal with a lot of traffic during peak hours, yet it’s a good spot for people to find us. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything. It's just a regular office space with some desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. People from the surrounding villages come by to talk about their ideas. We try to give them practical advice based on what we know. Sometimes we're out in the field more than we are in the office. The team is small, just a few of us who care about how things are going in the countryside. We drink a lot of chai while looking over plans. It’s pretty basic here. We just want to see more folks standing on their own feet without having to move to the big city for every little job. That's the main thing we do every day. We don't really do big events, just one-on-one talks.
