Fortune City Community Foundation

We are set up in unit 1202 of the Clio building, which is part of the Hiranandani Fortune City area in Bhokarpada. Panvel has changed a lot lately with all these new buildings going up. We are right in the middle of it. The foundation was started by a few of us living here who wanted to make sure the community actually felt like a community. It can be a bit lonely in these big complexes if you don’t know anyone. We spend our time organizing small things, like getting people together or helping out the staff who work in the area. It’s not a fancy operation despite the building name. Our office is just a regular room with a couple of laptops and a tea kettle that’s always on. We deal with stuff like local water issues or just helping a new neighbor find their way around. Raigad can be a beautiful place, especially when the clouds come over the hills. We try to keep things practical. No big speeches or anything like that. If someone has a problem, they come up to the 12th floor and we talk it out. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everyone, but it’s worth it. We are just trying to make this corner of Panvel a bit friendlier for everyone living here. We just take it one day at a time.
