Finchmo Consulting Llp is located in Gokhale Nagar. We’re in Block A/2 of the Chatrapati Shivaji housing society. It’s a pretty standard neighborhood spot. We don't have a glass-fronted office in a tech park. Instead, we’re right here among the houses and local shops. It makes the morning commute pretty easy for us. The office itself is just a few rooms where we keep our files and computers. We started this because we had some specific skills in consulting and figured we could do it on our own. It’s worked out okay so far. We spend most of our time talking to clients or trying to fix problems that crop up in their projects. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s steady. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks during our calls, but that’s just how it is working in a place like this. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or big ads. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We appreciate the quiet of Gokhale Nagar compared to the busier parts of the city. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we usually end up talking about work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide a helpful hand to the businesses that reach out to us. It’s a small, honest living and we’re content with it. The furniture is a bit old, but the desks are sturdy enough for what we need.
