Etica Foundation

We’re based out of Bungalow No 21 in Royal Vista Palace, which is part of the Orchard Co Op Housing Society. It’s located on Nibm Road in the Undri area. Working out of a bungalow is a bit different from being in a high-rise office. It’s more relaxed, and we have a bit of a garden area out front that we try to keep tidy, though the weeds usually win. The Etica Foundation has its main desk in what used to be the living room. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, though you can hear the traffic from Nibm Road when it gets busy. Undri has grown a lot, so there are always new shops and apartments popping up around us. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with different rooms used for different things. We have a small kitchen where we make lunch and far too much tea. The walls are painted a simple white, and we’ve got some old chairs that have seen better days. It’s a comfortable place to work, and we don’t feel the pressure of a corporate office. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks during our meetings, but we just laugh it off. We’re just a local group doing our thing from this house. It feels more like a community here than a business district. Most days are spent sitting around the big table, sorting out the paperwork and planning what comes next for us. It is a bit disorganized but we manage.
