If you go down to Bhosari and look for the Munshi Compound, you will find us at number 286. It’s a busy little corner of the world where there’s always something happening. We handle press parts, which basically means we spend our whole day around big machines that punch and shape metal. It’s a very practical kind of business. We don’t have a lot of time for sitting around in offices or looking at fancy presentations. Most of the time, we are out there on the floor checking the parts as they come off the line. The compound itself is full of other businesses, so it’s a bit of a squeeze when the delivery trucks come in to pick up the crates. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time and we’ve seen the area change, but the core of what we do stays the same. The guys working here are good with their hands and they don’t mind getting a bit dirty. We don’t make big promises or talk about being the leaders in anything. We just make sure the press is set up right and that the metal we’re using is decent enough for the job. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves and keep going. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us busy enough that we don’t have to worry about much else besides the next order.
